He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnie Dye and Ada Dye; his wife Juanita L. Brownfield; his son David; his siblings, Gene, George and Libby Lauer; and his daughter-in-law Marlene.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve, Roger and Michael (Kathryn); his grandsons, Benjamin (Miranda), Jeremy (Amy) and Derek (Nikki); his sisters, Dorothy Welch and Nancy Michaelis (Stanley); and his sister-in-law Judy Dye. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carl's memory may be made to the Newport Food Pantry or Newport Baptist Church.
