He was predeceased by: his father Earl D. Hescht; and his wife Ruth McVay Hescht. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Ann Koverman, Daniel Raymond (Janell Marie) and Willa Beth; his grandchildren, Troy, Kaleb, Nicholas and Mikayla; and his siblings, Helen, Sheldon, Linda, Marlene, Darlene, Robin, Sherry, Roger, Lisa, Brenda, Glenda, Billy, Cathy and Missy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
