It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lee Hammett of Saint Marys, West Virginia, who passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen R. Gatrell and Ida Johnson Gatrell; her former husbands, Donley MacDonald and Paul Maze; her husband John William Hammett; and her siblings, Geneva Wolfe, Geraldine Lamp, Juineta Glenn, Evelyn Klocke, Lyle E. Gatrell and Jack Gatrell.
She is survived by: her children, Johanna Delong (Nelson) of Parkersburg, WV and Donald J. MacDonald of Grants Pass, OR; her grandson Jason Delong of Reno, OH; her great grandchildren, Dani Lyn and Ryder Delong; and her stepchildren, Suzanne Waldron, Beverly Frayne, William Hammett and Sam Hammett. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
