It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Warner Underwood Sr. of Saint Albans, West Virginia, born in Caldwell, West Virginia, who passed away on September 29, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Underwood and Margaret Underwood; his wife Shirley E. Underwood; his daughter Nellie Underwood Clark; his stepdaughter Sue Hall; his grandson George Lee Thaxton; and his stepfather Alf Ivarson.
He is survived by: his uncle Harold; his aunt Myrtle Cain; his great grandchild Logan; his children, Cheryl Thaxton (Keith) of Sissonville, Kim Rucker of Sissonville, Jack Underwood Jr. of Hurricane and Anita Caruthers of Poca; his son-in-law Mick Hall of South Charleston; and his caregiver HospiceCare. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
