He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brown and Mary Parsons Brown; his wife Macel; his grandson Evan Dean Sovine; and his brothers, Carroll R. and James M. Brown.

He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Sovine (Ken) of Winfield; and his granddaughter Raeanne Sovine (Josh Havey). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice.
