He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Richard and Nora Butler; and his stepmother Bonnie Boggs. He is survived by: his parents, Debbie Butler-Case (Charles) of St. Alban's, WV and Larry S. Boggs of Cannelton, WV; his brother Sam Boggs (Veronica) of Wheeling, WV; his daughter Jaley Anne Braley of Webster; his aunt Sallie Levander (Carl) of New Albany, OH; his uncle James A. Butler (Rebecca) of St. Albans; his cousins, Cathryn Butler Levander of New Albany, OH, Aleks Ozolins of Charlotte, NC and Jon Ozolins of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his stepsiblings, Andrew Case of Norman, OK and Katie Case.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Chris' honor with a donation to Capital City Striders, Inc. to support youth track and field in Kanawha County.
