It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Sullivan Gipson (Rupert, West Virginia), who passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clady Earl Gipson and Lola Mae Wilkinson Gipson; his son James; and his siblings, Earl Gipson, Robert Gipson, Katherine Walters and Earnestine Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda O'Dell Gipson; his daughter Michelle; his stepdaughter Darla; his sons, Clayton and Anthony; his stepsons, Kevin (Marie), Bruce and Brett (Brandie); and his siblings, Arlene Gallentine, Geraldine Baker, Clayton Gipson and Randall Gipson (Judy). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held due to the Covid-19 with Pastor Jack Dempsey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made to the funeral home.
