It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Guy Hayes Sr. of Rowlesburg, West Virginia, born in Fairmont, West Virginia, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Chester Hayes Sr. and Opal Lena Hayes (Abel); and his siblings, David Hayes, Samuel Hayes Jr., Richard Hayes, Rebecca Hasson and Doris Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Joyce Hayes (Masters); his children, Joseph Guy Hayes Jr. (Mary Riley) of Kingwood and Lisa Dawn Sanders (Gale) of Rowlesburg; his grandchildren, David Calhoun (KD) of Morgantown, Kaleena Sanders of Rowlesburg and Skyler Sanders of Rowlesburg; and his great grandchildren, Austin Calhoun and Clayton Calhoun.
