She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Willis and Frances Upton Custer; her husband Walter Brown Burke; her nephew William Jay Carder II; and her great-niece Rebecca Rose Carder.

She is survived by: her son Joseph Custer Burke (Michelle) of Madisonville, Louisiana.; her granddaughters, Madeleine, Meaghan, Molli and Malaina; and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Carder and Carol Ann Rogers of Bastrop, Texas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and other family members.
