He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Anna Mae Bostic McQuade, Sr.; his wife Edith Carrington McQuade; his daughter Sabrina F. McQuade; and his siblings, Mary Woolwine, Winifred Schneider, Agnes Knapp, Patricia Amott, Catherine Brooks, Joyce Bennett, Joseph McQuade and John W. McQuade, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Jerry S. McQuade (Amy) and Daniel R. McQuade (Elizabeth) of Morgantown; and his sister Sherry Basile of Florida. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
