We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2021, at the age of 89, Rosella Mayhew of Romney, West Virginia, born in Cumberland, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene H. Gross and Pauline Buckley Gross. She is survived by: her husband James Robert Mayhew; her son Robert "Bob" E. Mayhew; her granddaughter Elizabeth A. Mayhew (Eric Strain); her sons, Ethan, Gavin Strain of Clifton Park, NY, Hillary L. LaRose (John LaRose) and Dylan James LaRose of Portland, OR; her stepson Jason Hodges (Christa); her children, Blake, Chloe of Safety Harbor, FLA, Adam Hodges (Shanna), Cole, Reagan of Romney and Terry Mayhew (Bonnie); her grandchild JB Mayhew (Maiko); her great grandchildren, Leam, Luke and Leon of Nagoya, Japan; her granddaughter Melissa Gibbons (Bryan); and her great grandchildren, Laurel and Colin of Martinsburg, WV..
Interment will be private and in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV. Due to Covid, the family requests masks be worn and social distancing protocol be followed.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Hampshire County Committee on Aging for all the support they have given for many years in the form of meals and help with caregivers.
