She was predeceased by: her parents, George C. Turner and Rose Ann Turner; and her sisters, Rosemary V. Eldridge and Elizabeth A. Finn. She is survived by: her husband John Bakanowsky Sr. of Romney; her children, John Bakanowsky Jr. (Staci), Joan Pellak (John), Jimmy Bakanowsky (Alice) and Jerry Bakanowsky (Dawn); her grandchildren, Eric Pellak (Laura), Kiersten Schmidt, Melissa Freeman (Bret), Katie Jachec (Tony), Scott Bakanowsky, Daniel Bakanowsky and Sarah Bakanowsky; and her great grandchildren, Gwen Freeman and Ella Pellak.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a memorial donation be made to Romney Rotary Scholarship care of FNB Bank, P.O. Box 1037, Romney, WV 26757.
