He was predeceased by: his parents, John I. Pancake and Rose F. Pancake; his wife Barbara Ann Shields Pancake; his siblings, Mary Rose Pancake Hicks, Joseph S. Pancake and Richard W. Pancake; and his granddaughter Erin Michele Pancake.
He is survived by: his sister Betty Jean Pancake Williams; his children, John Stephen Pancake of Frederick, MD, David Wright Pancake (Amy E.) of Romney, WV and Michele L. Lee (James) of Delray, WV; his grandchildren, David Isaac Pancake, Brittany Anna Griffith and Kevin John Lee; and his great grandchildren, Rhylee and Lincoln Griffith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
