As Dorothy departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dorothy leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert W. Barnes and Neva B. Barnes (Blackburn); her sons, Stephen Corey, Gregg Corey and Daniel Corey; and her siblings, Wanda McGuire, Alec, Robert and Jimmy Barnes.

She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Pennington of Harrison and David Corey of Romney, WV; and her siblings, Mary Webster of Springfield, VA and Richard Barnes of Romney, WV. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
