He is survived by: his wife Sharon Cecil Lee Akers; his children, Candice of Phoenix, AZ, Angela Mitchem of Phoenix, AZ, Abby of Phoenix, AZ, Dwayne East of Phoenix, AZ, Cory Akers of Phoenix, AZ, Cody of Phoenix, AZ, Desierre of Phoenix, AZ, Joy Reed of Phoenix, AZ, Willis Boyd Akers IV of Phoenix, AZ, Michael James Akers of Phoenix, AZ and Raymond Jackson Akers of Phoenix, AZ; and his siblings, Daniel Akers (Peggy), Diana Hutchins and Brenda Dotson. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
