He is survived by: his parent Nola Shrewsberry Akers; his wife Patty Shrewsbury Akers; his children, Anthony Akers (Sue Ellen) of Pearl, MS and Uriah S. Akers, Jr.; his wife Susan Gail of Pipestem; his sisters, Josie Harris, Doris Cordle, Evelyn Stables and Thelma Shrewsbury; his grandchildren, Tyler Akers, Zachary A. Akers and Nathanael Wallace; and also Shelby Ann Wallace (Rodney) of Lashmeet.
