He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Leland and Stella Moody (Short); and his brothers, John, Jack and David Moody.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Moody (Burks); his daughter Michell Richmond (Missy) of Hurricane; his granddaughter Crystal (Krysti); and his son-in-law Mike Tolley of Parkersburg.
