She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Shubert Giffin and Mary Jane Swope Giffin; and her husband Vernon "Eddie" Sparks. She is survived by: her children, Vernon Sparks, Jr. of Matoaka, Bobby Sparks of Louisville, KY, Grace Bailey (Kenneth) of Princeton and Sandra Sparks of Roanoke, VA; her sisters, Norma Sauers of Rock, Nancy Sparks of Rock and Connie of Florida; and her grandchildren, Kenny Bailey, Grant Bailey, Ashley Sparks, Shantay Sparks and Eddie Sparks. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
