He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Darago and Inez East Darago; and his daughter Crystal Darago Hodges. He is survived by: his wife Diane Wyatt Darago; his children, Kimberly Darago Miller (Doug) of Rock, WV, Garland Darago (Ashley) of Rock, WV and Ronika Bompus (Marvin) of Proctorville, OH; his sister Sharon Bailey (Chris); his grandchildren, Ashton Nunn (Kenneth), Stephen Miller, Ariel Hodges (Josh), Aaron Miller (Kristen), Trevor Darago (Audrie), Bailee Darago, Lucas Bompus and Christian Bompus; and his great grandchildren, Cheyanne, Elijah, Raegan Hodges, Mason, Kennedy, Blane Nunn and Ezra Darago.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
