She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Edgar Thornton and Hazel McAbe Thornton; her son Gary L. Davis, Jr.; and her siblings, Butch Thornton, Marvin Thornton, Dwayne Thornton and Hazel Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Lyn Davis, Sr.; her daughter Jessica Diane Lilly (Russell) of Camp Creek; her grandchildren, Gary L. Davis, III, Alex Lilly and Bentley Byers; and her siblings, Ellen Ross (Anthony) of Princeton, Geraldine Reynolds of Eden, NC, Connie Linkous (Herman) of Bluefield, WV, Douglas Thornton (Sheila) of Lashmeet, Steve Allen Thornton (Lillian) of Chicago, IL, Billy Ray Thornton of Matoaka and James Murphy Thornton (Sherry) of Beeson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
