It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammy Leonard Mosley of Robinette, West Virginia, who passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mosley and Mary Bell Mosley (Colegrove); his son James Hank Matthew Mosley (Joanna Kay); his grandsons, Terry Lee Mosley and Jason S. Grimmett; his siblings, Eleanor Hendricks, Louise Mosley, Franklin Hank Mosley, Archie Lee Mosley Sr. and Clarence Ray "Dew" Mosley Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Bennie and Eloise McKendree (Stowers).
He is survived by: his wife Direne Sue Mosley; his children, Melvin Mosley (Vickie), Lisa Maynard (Lonnie), Sammy II Mosley (Erica), Cindy Bailey (Owen), Brenda Robertson, Sarah Elaine Childs and Darlene Mosley (John); his grandchildren, Hannah Mosley, Brad Bunch, Jamie Lee Nelson, Drake Maynard, Jake Maynard, Chris Bailey (Savanna), Levi Bailey, Laura Bailey Powers, Sammy Mosley III, Ashley Mosley (Jason Bowen), Emily Mosley, Destiny Mosley, Roy Dean Childs (Bobbi), Cortina Rogers (Elmer), Patrick Robertson, Megan Scott (Kyle), Victoria Love (Larry), Tiffany Asher (Tyler), Jenaro II Abraham (Paola Prieto), Adam Abraham, Leilani Childs, Benjamin Childs, Preston Childs, Shyann Griffin (Braden), Nathan Mosley (Mary Lilly) and Joshua Mosley; and his siblings, Merle Rakes, Lou Howell, Willard Mosley (Hazel) and John Mosley (Darlene). He is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
