She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis McGuire and Mattie Mae McGuire; her husband Roy "Trap" Vernatter; her daughter Arlene Kilgore; her granddaughter Christian Kilgore; her great grandchild Sophia Collins; and her siblings, Margaret, Mary, Cora, John and Glen McGuire.
She is survived by: her pet Zebe; her children, Roy David Vernatter of Robinette, Becky Jane Schultz (Mark) of Robinette, Pearl Short (John) of Mallory and Lynn Clay (Billy) of Man; her son-in-law Kenneth Kilgore; her grandchildren, David Samson Vernatter, Whitney Wright (Mike), Dottie Ferrell, Samantha Collins (Davey), Natasha Copley (Nathan) of Wilson, Ferrell, Zach Short (Julianne), Andi Compton (Tommy) and Angel Kilgore; and her great grandchildren, David Christian, Colton, Connor, Dylan, Callie, Kevin, Elijah, Aurora, Waylon and Hank. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
