She was predeceased by: her parents, Spencer Steptoe and Genevieve Clifton Steptoe; her husband Willie Powell; her daughter Wilma Jean Powell; and her son-in-law Gary Lovett.
She is survived by: her children, Spencer Lee Powell of Fairmont, Christina Lovett of Loraine, OH, Melvin Dewayne Powell of Fairmont and Tammy Marie Powell of Rivesville; and her brother Harry Steptoe of Farmington. She is also survived by twenty seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild on the way, and several nieces and nephews.
