She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Nelson and Christena Evelyn White Nelson; her husband Kenneth H. Thompson; her siblings, Ronald Earl Nelson, Ruth Kimble and Gay Johnson; and her son-in-law Joe Chesney.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Virgil Saville; her children, Charlotte Saville (Lowell), Charlene Chesney (Fred) and Kenneth Thompson (Cynthia); her siblings, Kathleen Vandevander of Bartow, WV, Macie Simmons of Elkins, WV, Violet Bowman of Verona, VA, Genevieve Schwab and Gale Nelson; her grandsons, Kenneth Cooper (Kris), Virgil Saville, Jr. (Tasha) and Michael Virts, Jr. (Mandy); and her great grandchildren, Virgil Saville, III, Michael G. Virts, Justin Virts and Michael W. Saville.
