He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Howerton and Gertrude Wimmer Howerton; his wife Lucy Marie Howerton; and his siblings, Walter Jr., Donald, Leo, Francis Gordon and Etta Marie Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Rose Belle, Ricky Howerton (Kathy) and Phillip Howerton (Cheryl); and his siblings, Bill, Jimmy, Paul, Troy Howerton and Betty Pistore. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
