She was predeceased by: her parents, H. C. Samples and Ethel Samples; her husband Sidney Engle; and her siblings, Hubert, Berlie Ed, Harry, Forrest, Frear, Paul, Fenton Samples and Nina Samples.

She is survived by: her children, Larry Engle Albany (Tina), Douglas Engle (Elaine) of Jonesboro, GA and Linda Julian of Hilton Head, SC; her grandchildren, Ashley, Adam, Branden and Courtney; and her great grandchildren, Tracy, Michael, Alex, Aaron, Kensington and Fenton. She is also survived by 5 Step great grandchildren; and 3 step great-great grandchildren.
