She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Russel Kessel and Pauline Kessel; her sister Jenny Kessel Cross; her daughter-in-law Christine Hughes; her father-in-law Howard Hughes; and her brother-in-law Bruce Parrish.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. James T. Hughes of Spencer; her sons, Rusty and Ben Hughes (Kara); her grandchildren, Dylan Hughes (Dominique), Tyler Hughes, Ellie Hughes, Kelly Beth Hughes and Rocco Hughes; and her sister-in-law Alice Parrish. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waybright Funeral Home (511 S Church St, Ripley, WV 25271). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Epworth United Methodist Church (299 N Church St, Ripley, WV 25271).
