He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmit Copley and Edith LeMaster; his son Jerry Douglas Copley Jr. (Tojo); and his siblings, Richard Copley, Brenda O'Bar, Linda Scites and Judy Mays.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Evans Copley; his daughter Tammy Jarrell (Gary); his stepchildren, Scott Evans (Rebecca) and Jennifer Evans (Melissa); his daughter-in-law Amie Copley; his grandchildren, Jackie Brock III (Christi), Michael Brock (Stephanie) and Skylar Carroll (Chris); his stepgrandchildren, Gabi Evans, Wyatt Madison, Gaige Frazer, Chloe Summers and Megan Hughart; his great grandchild Jaycee Brock (Dawson); his sister Patty Nichols (Glenn); and his close friend Leroy Starcher. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Waybright Funeral Home (511 S Church St, Ripley, WV 25271). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family asks that donations be made to the Baptist Grove Cemetery; donations can be made directly to Waybright funeral home.
