He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Arnold and Lula Madeline Merical; his half-sisters, Ruby and Elma; and his sister JoAnn Coble.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Irene Miller Merical; his sisters, Joy Phillips and Judy Good of St. Albans, WV; and his children, Jackie Merical of Gallipolis, OH, Kim Quillen (Fred) of Ravenswood, Debbie Jo Williams (David) of Sissonville, WV and Jim Merical (Terri) of Fairplain. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
