He is survived by: his parents, Phines James McDowell and Sharon Catherine Edwards (Ousler); his wife Bonnie Lynn McDowell (Bruno); his children, Michelle Lynn McDowell of Petersburg, WV and Emory James McDowell Jr. of Petersburg, WV; his granddaughter Haileigh Lynn Rohrbaugh; and his friends, Kenny Wayne Skipper, Polly Craites and Carolyn Sue Baker.
