She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Crites and Rebecca Crites (Baldwin); her daughter Sherry Hose (Simmons); and her siblings, Dottie Mongold, Paula Wolfe, Donnie Crites and Norman Crites.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Allen Simmons; her daughter Sheila Wilkins (Simmons) of Durgon, WV; her grandchildren, Sierra Wratchford (Dusty) of Moorefield, WV, Jesse Hose III (Stacey) of Moorefield, WV and John R. Keplinger of Petersburg, WV; her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Hose, Aubrey Hose, Bayden Wratchford, Faith Wratchford and Hope Wratchford; her siblings, Cindy Shoemaker of Petersburg, WV, Lisa Crites (Roscoe) of Moorefield, WV, Jerry Crites (Barbara) of Moorefield, WV, Stevie Crites (Tena) of Fisher, WV, Rodney Crites (Shawna) of Moorefield, WV, Randall Crites (Lana) of Rig, WV, Rex Crites (Elnita) of Rig, WV and Boyd Crites of Petersburg, WV; and her pet Lilly. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home (11 N Main St, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Maple Hill Cemetery (300 N Main St, Petersburg, WV 26847).
