He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Thompson of Ridgeview; his children, Michael Thompson (Loretta) of Ridgeview, Richard Turner (Vicki) of Seth, WV, Jamie Thompson of Emmons, WV, Jon Thompson (Sarah) of Ridgeview and Mary Ann Edens (Stephen) of Alum Creek, WV; his siblings, Rita Javins of Ashford, WV, Sammy Thompson (Sarah) of Gassaway, WV and Jerry Ball Jr of Lick Creek, WV; his grandchildren, Richard John, Riley, Christian, MaKayla, Autumn, James, Chelsea, Asypen, Harper, Paisley and Avery; and his great grandchild Lucas Turner.
