He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stoops and Naomi Stoops Lawson (Samuels); and his brothers, Larry and David Stoops. He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Stoops (DeLozier); his children, Bruce Stoops (Lorraine) and Suzette Eversole (Rick); his stepdaughters, Glenda Appel (Brian), Susan Pryor (Tommy Robinette), Jill Brooks and Tonya Bennett (Christopher); and his brother Dennis Stoops (Alice). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
