It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernard E. Hardy of Ridgeley, West Virginia, born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard E. Hardy, Sr. and Mary Frances Lechliter (Kasecamp); his wife Ruby; his stepmother Thelma Hardy (Walters); and his sisters, Gilda Metzner and JoAnn "Birdie" Ruppenkamp.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Hardy (Pamela), Beverly Bosley (Eric) and Julie Whitacre (Hawkeye); his grandchildren, Kristy, Lindsay, Derick, Dustin, Brandon, Devin and Breann; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Sydney, Landon, Caden, Evan, Harper, Kyndal, Grant, Maya Ruby and Quinn; and his nieces and nephews, Monna Jean Woods, Sissy Powers and Bud Metzner.
