Karen Lavonne Baylor Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Lavonne Baylor (Reedsville, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Mae Matlick (Harvey) and James Kenneth Matlick; and her siblings, Beulah Ridenour, Helena Ridenour, Beatrice Harshberger and James Dale Matlick.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Ray Baylor; her children, Trudy Burge (Ronny) of Morgantown, Michael Baylor (Susan) of Hagerstown, MD and Mark Baylor (Robbie) of Kingwood; her grandchildren, Cambria Baylor (Andy Cooper), Brennan Baylor (Caitlin), Justin Baylor (Gina), Christopher Swecker (Erica), Brian Burge (Rachel), Veronica Vandevander (Jason), Jonathan Baylor, Derek Baylor (Caroline), Robert Baylor (Joanna), Jason Ullman, Ryan Ullman (Danielle), Matthew Ullman (Katina Philburn), Brandon Ullman (Colleen) and Jennifer Newman (Nick); and her sister Karolyn O'Bryon Bartok (Bob) of Vermilion, Ohio.. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Morgan Funeral Home (13411 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Reedsville, WV 26547-0269). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (208 E High St, Kingwood, WV 26537).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Kingwood First Presbyterian Church at 104 E. High Street, Kingwood, WV 26537.
