It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Slate (Red House, West Virginia), who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Virginia Slate to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her children, Robin Lynn Summers and Mark Todd Summers; her parents, James Herbert and Mary Marie Nida; and her siblings, Perry Nida, Connie Woodyard, Beulah Barker, Becky Stover, Kathy Nida and Marilyn Nida.
She is survived by: her children, Ishmael Summers and Melissa Barnett; her grandsons, James Barnett II and Connor Barnett; her siblings, Jimmy Nida (Kay) and Bonnie Harper; and her brother-in-law Lester Stover.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, a graveside service will be held at 2 p. m. on Friday, May 8 in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. family and friends are welcome to attend.
