He is survived by: his wife Debbie Foster Byrnside; his children, Daniel Byrnside of Huntington, Hannah Ellis of Hurricane and Samuel Byrnside (Corra) of Culloden; his stepdaughter Candace Kirk of Charleston; his grandchildren, Joseph Blair, Wesley (Eli Ellis), Harlow Byrnside and Noah Farley (Aiden Milam); his sisters, Shawn O'Brien (Dave) of Culloden and Lynn Deahl (Alex) of Culloden; the mother of his children Norma Watts of Huntington; his sister-in-law Lisa Hackney; and his pets, Winnie and Sunshine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
