She was predeceased by: her former husband George Perks, Sr. of Red House; and her parents, Alvaro Afonso and Claire Afonso. She is survived by: her brother Robert Afonso of Pawtucket; her children, Deborah Lucero of St. Augustine, FL, Pamela Perks of Dunbar and George Perks, Jr. of Alum Creek; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy, Jon Lucero of St. Augustine, FL, Ashley Perks of Washington, DC and Brandilyn Nguyen of South Charleston. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Due to the pandemic, the family will host a celebration of her life later this year.
