He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Thornton and Mack Hedrick; and his sister Sarah "Jo" Thornton. He is survived by: his children, Chuck Hedrick, Jr. (Patricia), Mercedes Hedrick (Doug), Roy Hedrick (Elizabeth) and Kaitlyn Hedrick; his siblings, Susan Harrison, Thomas Hedrick and Lora Hively; and his grandchildren, Mac, Zach, Peyton, Kloe, Brooklyn and Mary-Elizabeth. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Nationwide Children's Hospital 700 Childrens Drive Columbus, OH 43205.
