He is survived by: his wife Shelby Jean Dawson; his children, Raymond Dawson (Barbara) of Raysal, Judy Sexton (John) of Bradshaw, Helena Lewis (Harold) of Glade Springs, VA, Charles Dawson of Raysal, James Leonard Dawson of Glade Springs, VA, Mary Ann Stiltner (James) of Bishop, VA, Nathan Allen Dawson of Jolo, Henry Dawson (Julie) of Raysal, Freddie Dawson (Heather) of Raysal and Timmy Dawson (Jennifer) of Bradshaw; his siblings, Maggie Pruett of Raysal, Vernie Bowman (Pat) of Richlands, VA and Herbert Dawson (Evelyn) of Raysal; his brother-in-law Billy Rutter of Tazewell, VA; and his nephew Wayne Day of Raysal. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren.
