She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Tate and Cleo Tate; her children, Sonja Kremer and Douglas Cavender; her sister Myrtle Saunders; and her nephew Tommy Saunders.
She is survived by: her husband Arnold Cavender; her daughter Robin Cavender of Ravenswood; her brother Johnny Tate (Sue) of Sissonville; her granddaughters, Kristina Evans of Charleston, Kaitlyn Hedrick of Ravenswood and Madeleine Casto (James) of Millwood; and her great grandchildren, Vincent, Sophia Smith, Michael, Molly Evans, Aspen and Declan Casto.
