He was predeceased by: his parents, David Pearl and Macel Long Norman; and his siblings, Loretta Powell, Betty Kounse and Dickie Norman.

He is survived by: his son J. D. Norman of Ravenswood; his siblings, Frank Norman of Ravenswood and Peggy Jarrett of Ravenswood; his niece Krista; and his close friend Sue Ann Norman.
