Gregory Scott Matics Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory Scott Matics of Ravenswood, West Virginia, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. William E. "Bill" Matics and Hazel Eileen Myers Matics; his brother William Bret Matics; his granddaughter Ryann Everly Fisher; his grandparents, Reed, Hazel Myers, Guy and Cleta Matics; his uncle Walt; his aunt Sue Damron; and his cousins, Debbie Randall, Dee Damron, Dwight Damron, Dawn Damron, Jack Russell Terrier and Rusty.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his daughters, Scotti Foltz (Wes) of Morgantown and Sierra Fisher (Jacob) of Fairplain; his grandchildren, Nora Elise Foltz, Jaxon Ryder Fisher, Kathryn Hazel Foltz, Dylan Sloan Fisher and Kori Quinn Fisher; and his brothers, Drake (Kathy), Matt (Belinda) and Chad (Kristina). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Independent United Brethren Church (1014 Washington St, Ravenswood, WV 26164). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
