She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kenna Rector and Dorothy McCoy Rector of Virginia; her husband William S. "Bill" Ritchie, Jr.; her daughters, Nancy Denise Ritchie and Jody Ritchie Wood; her brother Col. William Kenna Rector, Jr.; and her children-in-law, Pete Wood and Candi Ritchie.
She is survived by: her children, Todd, Karin Ritchie of Ravenswood, WV, Julie of Morgantown, WV, Andy Gurtis of Morgantown, WV, Tyler of Morgantown, WV and Michelle Ritchie of Morgantown, WV; her sister Nancy Short (Allen) of Cornelius, NC; her sister-in-law Beverly Rector of San Antonio, TX.; and her grandchildren, Chris, Cortney, Whitney, Kyle, Kirk, Travis, Caitlin, Cole, Hannah, Grayson, Josh and Mary Beth.
In lieu of flowers, Connie's interests included the continued support of the town of Ravenswood with a Memorial Fund to purchase dogwood trees that will be planted around town to be enjoyed by all. Donations for memorial trees for those you honor may be mailed to Ravenswood City Hall.
