Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint William leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vernon Prater and Margaret Mary Swann; and his girlfriend Angela Simmons. He is survived by: his son William J Swann of Coeburn, Virginia; his stepsons, Mark Simmons (Shelly) of Maryland and David Simmons (Stacy) of Maryland; his daughter Julie Swann of Falling Waters; his stepdaughter Sharon Merica; and his sister Judith Woodward of Ranson. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
