He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Theodore Viands and Margie Viands (Dillow); and his sister Anna Mae White. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Patricia Edna Viands (Clash); his daughter Lisa Viands-Cline (Danny) of Charles Town; his granddaughter Caitlin E. Cline; and his siblings, Bonnie Seal of Charles Town and Clyde W. "Bill" Viands (Joann) of Ranson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
