It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Chu of Ranson, West Virginia, who passed away on October 20, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister Stephanie Marie Hockenberry. She is survived by: her parents, Katherine "Kathy" Hardy Hockenberry and John Craig Hockenberry of Kearneysville; her stepmother Sue of Martinsburg; her husband James Chu; her sons, Jeffrey Reynolds and Jace Chu; her siblings, John David Hockenberry (Tabitha) of Leetown and Ashley Hockenberry of Kearneysville; her grandmother Anna Mae Hardy of Ranson; and her sisters-in-law, Mei Yu Chu of New Jersey, Mei Jy Chu of New Jersey and Mei Ling Chu of New Jersey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
