He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kelley Lance, Jr. and Carmen Margaret Older; his sister Sandra C. Hartigan; and his stepmother Nelle Lance. He is survived by: his wife Marcia A. Hurst Lance; his children, Cheryl Pace (Phillip) of Rockford, Allison Blevins (Steve) of Ranson and Joseph Cordell Lance (Kerri) of Ranson; his grandchildren, Colette Pace, Brigitte Pace, Lauren Diaz-Infante (Diego), Grant Blevins and Lance Blevins; his brothers, Greg Lance (Pamela) and Douglas Lance (Robyn) of Charles Town; and his cousin Bill Older of Charleston, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
