He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Strider Whittington and Lillian Viola Brown Whittington. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Vigueira Whittington; his son Marley; his godson Jacob R. Hardy; and his brother David E. Whittington (Carol) of Kearneysville. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
