He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Francis Stanton and Dona Hudson Stanton; his wife Barbara Hartsell Stanton; his siblings, Dexter Ford, Andrew Stanton, Martha Harrison and Alverta Wilson; and his son-in-law Michael McCoy.
He is survived by: his children, Kellie Reed (Michael), Elisa McCoy (Peter Vache) and Ed Stanton, Jr. (Shannon); his siblings, Francis Stanton (Beulah), Robert Stanton and Jean Kohr (Jerry); his grandchildren, Joseph Ponceroff, Emily McCoy Bish, Kristina Reed, Elizabeth Mathews (Austen), Kelsea, Kinleigh, Kaylin Stanton and Kylie Spessert (Cadin); and his great grandchildren, Annika, Emeric, Teagan, Alexander, Reagan, Logan and Charleigh.
